Today marks the commencement of the 2nd Annual Fake Fall Break. Last year we went to Chicago for 36 hours during the first weekend of October. This year, we decided on Baltimore (to visit my friend, Marissa’s, mom) and Washington D.C. We’ll be gone a total of 48 hours, which isn’t a lot of time to see both of these amazing and vibrant cities.
But as great as the sites are, the places themselves aren’t really the point. This annual trip is a celebration of our friendship, taking time for fun and being twenty-somethings, and most of all, slowing down for a weekend amidst the crazy schedules, midterms, and work.
I am so thankful for this trip, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone over the next few days.
